Tilicho Lake, situated in the Manang District of Nepal at an altitude of 4,919 meters, is recognized as one of the highest lakes in the world and is a dream destination for adventure trekkers. Surrounded by the majestic Annapurna mountain range, the lake offers breathtaking scenery, peaceful surroundings, and a true high-altitude trekking experience.

This trek showcases Nepal’s incredible diversity—changing landscapes, traditional settlements, unique cultures, languages, and religions. The warm hospitality of the local people and the pristine natural environment make the Tilicho Lake Trek both rewarding and memorable.

Our 10-day Tilicho Lake Trek begins with a scenic drive to Chame, allowing proper acclimatization while enjoying stunning mountain views. The trail follows the classic Annapurna Circuit up to Manang before branching off toward Tilicho. After visiting the lake, we descend via Khangsar and drive back to Kathmandu.

Best Time to Trek

• Spring: March to May
• Autumn: Late September to early December

This trek is best suited for experienced high-altitude trekkers seeking an added challenge within a limited timeframe. It is not recommended for families with young children or elderly travelers.

Optional Extension: If you have extra time, we can include Thorung La Pass and Muktinath, allowing you to explore both the Manang and Mustang regions.

Outline Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 2: Drive to Besisahar (private jeep, 5–6 hrs) and continue to Chame (local jeep/bus, 5–6 hrs) – 2,670 m

Day 3: Trek to Pisang – 3,200 m (6 hrs)

Day 4: Trek to Manang via Ghyaru – 3,540 m (7–8 hrs)

Day 5: Acclimatization day in Manang

Day 6: Drive to Khangsar (1 hr – 3,734 m) and trek to Tilicho Base Camp – 4,150 m (3–4 hrs)

Day 7: Hike to Tilicho Lake (3 hrs), return to Base Camp (1.5 hrs), trek to Khangsar (2 hrs)

Day 8: Drive to Besisahar (7–8 hrs)

Day 9: Drive to Kathmandu (6–7 hrs)

Day 10: Departure day
