Everest Three Pass Trek – Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,850m) & Trek to Phakding (2,600m)

Flight: 35–40 minutes | Trek: 3 hours
Early morning scenic flight to Lukla, one of the most thrilling mountain airstrips in the world. After landing at Tenzing–Hillary Airport, meet the trekking team and begin a gentle walk to Phakding along the Dudh Koshi River, passing small Sherpa villages.

Day 2: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,450m)

Trek: 6 hours
Follow the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges decorated with prayer flags. Enter Sagarmatha National Park and make a steep ascent to Namche Bazaar, the main trading hub of the Everest region.

Day 3: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Trek: 3 hours
Rest and acclimatize with short hikes to Everest View Hotel, Khumjung Village, or Thame Monastery. Enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam.

Day 4: Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3,865m)

Trek: 5 hours
Walk along scenic trails above the Dudh Koshi River. Descend to Phunke Tenga and climb through forests to Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery with stunning Himalayan views.

Day 5: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m)

Trek: 6 hours
Pass Pangboche village and ascend gradually through alpine terrain, enjoying spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Everest, and Lhotse before reaching Dingboche.

Day 6: Trek from Dingboche to Chhukhung (4,730m)

Trek: 2 hours

Day 7: Trek from Chhukhung to Lobuche (4,910m) via Kongma La Pass (5,535m)

Trek: 7–8 hours

Day 8: Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) via Gorakshep – Overnight at Gorakshep (5,140m)

Trek: 7–8 hours
Walk along rocky moraine trails to Gorakshep, then continue to Everest Base Camp. Experience the legendary base camp before returning to Gorakshep.

Day 9: Morning Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) & Trek to Dzongla (4,860m)

Trek: 6–7 hours

Day 10: Trek from Dzongla to Gokyo Lakes (4,790m) via Cho La Pass (5,420m)

Trek: 6–7 hours
A challenging day crossing the icy Cho La Pass. Enjoy glacier views before reaching the stunning turquoise Gokyo Lakes.

Day 11: Rest Day in Gokyo & Hike to Gokyo Ri (5,360m)

Morning hike to Gokyo Ri for panoramic views of Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, the Ngozumpa Glacier, and the entire Gokyo Valley.

Day 12: Trek from Gokyo to Lungden (4,368m) via Renjo La Pass (5,360m)

Trek: 6–7 hours
Cross the final high pass of the trek. From the top of Renjo La, enjoy breathtaking views of Everest and the Gokyo Lakes before descending to Lungden.

Day 13: Trek from Lungden to Namche Bazaar (3,450m)

Trek: 6–7 hours
After breakfast, begin a scenic descent from Lungden toward Namche Bazaar. Today’s walk is relatively easier, passing through remote valleys, alpine landscapes, and traditional Sherpa settlements. Enjoy distant views of Mount Everest and surrounding peaks along the way before reaching Namche Bazaar.

Day 14: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Trek: 6–7 hours
This is the final day of trekking. Follow the familiar trail along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension bridges and passing through forests and villages. Upon arrival in Lukla, rest and celebrate the completion of the Everest Three Pass Trek.

Day 15: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

Flight: 35–40 minutes
Early morning scenic flight back to Kathmandu, concluding the unforgettable Himalayan adventure.
