Overview

A journey through the Himalayas

The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is the perfect introduction to trekking in Nepal. In just four walking days you reach Poon Hill (3,210 m) for a sunrise that lights up more than 20 peaks, from Dhaulagiri to Annapurna South and Machapuchare.

The loop climbs from the Bhurungdi river through Ulleri's famous stone staircase to Ghorepani, a village set in rhododendron forest. After the sunrise you follow a ridge to Tadapani and finish in Ghandruk, a beautiful Gurung village with a small museum.

It suits beginners, families with children from about 8 years old and anyone short on time. Days are 4–6 hours and the altitude is low.

Why book with us: patient local guides used to first-time trekkers and families, and easy add-ons such as paragliding in Pokhara or a Chitwan safari.

Difficulty & fitness Easy

Well-made trails and 4 to 5 hours of walking a day. Great for first-timers.
